Defined by origin
Provenance is a technical attribute. Altitude, climate, cultivar and distillation practice shape an oil's profile, so we record and declare origin at lot level rather than as a marketing label.
Sourcing from the Indian Himalayas
Himalayan Botanic sources from independent growers, grower groups, distillers and processors in the Indian Himalayan region. We do not own farms, plantations or distillation facilities. Our role is to qualify regional supply against a buyer's specification, select and test lots, document them and manage export.
The initial focus is Jammu & Kashmir, where public-sector programmes have established aromatic-crop cultivation and small-scale distillation capacity at altitude. Lavender around Bhaderwah is the best-known example; tagetes, clary sage and lemongrass are sourced from suitable zones across the region as supply is qualified.
Regional facts on these pages are drawn from public sources and are cited internally. They describe the region, not Himalayan Botanic's own capacity.
